- Trends and Technologies such as ProAV Displays, DaaS, and Cloud Highlight D&H's West Coast Event as the Distributor Expands its Tech Conference Value Proposition -

HARRISBURG, PA - March 18, 2019 - D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces it will host its "2019 Tech Conference: West Coast" at the Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry, California, on March 28. Registration for this one-day event opens at 8:30 a.m., and its roster of educational sessions runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The conference involves more than 60 participating manufacturer partners. The West Coast event is the first in D&H's annual conference schedule for this year, delivering an enhanced roster of educational and face-to-face networking opportunities for VARs and MSPs.

For the first time, D&H has added a keynote speaker to its Technology Conference agenda: Todd Garrigues, director of partner sales programs at Intel. Garrigues will share his extensive view of the evolving channel and the Intel partner community, to help solution providers develop strategic, sustainable partner offerings. The show will also feature special "SME" market speaker Mike Diamond from prominent analyst firm NPD, to discuss the state of the IT channel and share his expertise on cyber security. Additional seminars will be presented by Intel, Cisco, Aruba, Microsoft, and HP. Topics include SMB cloud solutions, cyber security, and the Microsoft Windows 7 end-of-service/device refresh cycle.

In a change of format, the exhibit floor hours have been expanded to two different timeframes, an early session from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, and a later session from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This adds flexibility in deference to attendees' often-hectic schedules, and allows attendees to better accommodate the new keynote address without missing exhibit floor hours. Additional D&H manufacturer partners taking part in the show include Acer, APC, Brother, Creative, IOGEAR, Kingston Technology, Lenovo, Micron, and Ricoh. New D&H partners Ubiquiti Networks, Fanvil, Yeastar, and Vertiv are making their debuts at a D&H West Coast event.

The conference has a major focus on the ProAV category, an area where D&H has just added a new business unit to accommodate this burgeoning field. Large-scale digital displays will be featured at registration to illustrate how messaging techniques can be applied in markets ranging from retail and hospitality to transportation, government, real estate, healthcare and other verticals. D&H is also conducting a closed-door ProAV roundtable during the event, to get feedback from VARs and MSPs who have been early adopters on this application of technology, which verges into areas such as videoconferencing, collaboration, and unified communications.

Additional booths will spotlight the K-12 opportunity, DaaS, cloud solutions, and digital signage, plus support service offerings like the D&H Specialists and Partner Services teams.

"Our resellers have told us that the strongest benefit of our Technology Conferences is the outstanding, first-hand trainings that the events deliver," said Jennifer Walcott, vice president of marketing at D&H Distributing. "We're continuing to focus on that value, enhancing our seminar format and adding more specialized customer engagement opportunities. The events continue to grow in scope and content, reaching a greater breadth of D&H partners and showing an increased accommodation for their schedules. The more accessible we make it for them to take in this level of market insight, the more we all benefit as they leverage this new knowledge to grow their practices."

As usual, the conference has no registration fee for D&H customers. Door prizes will be offered including a grand prize of a $500 American Express gift card; plus, five winners will receive a $300 American Express gift card. The show runs until 7:00 p.m.

D&H customers can contact their representatives at (800) 340-1001 or visit dandh.com/westcoast to register. Interested parties can post on the conference series' Twitter hashtag, #DHTC19.
