-- New Cisco Trainings from the Distributor Include a Technical Meraki Lab Webcast, Plus D&H’s Ongoing CiscoPRO Meraki360 Training Series, To Help VARs Sell More Hosted Offerings --

January 19, 2017 - D&H Distributing, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, will offer two different Cisco training vehicles focused on the Meraki cloud-based solutions starting in January, to educate its resellers on how to increase their core competencies and sell more cloud-based IT services.

The first is a web-based technical streaming media session conducted through its renowned Solutions Lab. The “Cloud Managed IT: The Cisco Meraki Full Stack Story” broadcast will take place on January 24 at 2:00 p.m. EST. It will be presented by D&H’s Cisco Solutions Specialist team, comprised by Jeff Hunt, Rusty Kern, and Aaron Shelton, and is at no cost for D&H VARs, who can register at

The D&H Solutions Lab session will walk resellers through a demonstration of the Cisco Meraki product portfolio, which can help D&H resellers profit from a hosted management offering. The Cisco Meraki Cloud solution provides centralized management, visibility, and control of the end-user’s networks, without the cost and complexity of controller appliances or overlay management software. The products incorporate real time web-based diagnostics, monitoring, reporting and more. Attendees can pose questions for the D&H team during a live Q&A session at the end of the webcast.

In addition, D&H has been authorized to offer Cisco’s “Meraki360” one-day training event for D&H Cisco Registered Partners and above, beginning in early February. The course will be offered live at a series of locations in states including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and New York; in addition to virtual session opportunities. Meraki360 is a one-day CiscoPRO training course designed to help system engineers become familiar with configuration scenarios and sales strategies for the full end-to-end solution, including security, switching, wireless, voice, video, and EMM (enterprise mobile management). D&H is one of few distributors designated to maintain an in-house Meraki-certified trainer for this purpose: Jeff Hunt from D&H’s Cisco team will present the material on behalf of the vendor. The sessions will be offered through May of 2017 and are of no cost to D&H resellers.

Upon completion of the Meraki360 course, qualified partners can receive a $1,000 voucher to be applied towards future Cisco Meraki purchases, in addition to a free Meraki MR32 802.11AC Access Point unit and a three-year Cloud Management License (restrictions may apply).
