D&H HOSTS ARUBA "PLAYGROUND" INTERACTIVE TRAINING EVENT AT NEW CORPORATE CAMPUS

- The State-of-the-Art Solutions Lab Training Venue at Tech Drive Allowed an Exclusive Group of Partners to Receive Immersive, On-site Set-up Instruction for Aruba Instant On SMB Access Points -

HARRISBURG, PA - February 7, 2020 - D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, was able to showcase the enhanced capabilities of its newly expanded Solutions Lab on February 6, when the company hosted its "Aruba Instant On - A Day at the Playground" Solutions Lab live event for a hand-picked group of partners. This interactive training experience helped teach attendees not just the market applications and capabilities of these robust, easy-to-deploy SMB solutions, it also provided a technical training event where VARs were able to practice how to deploy the access points. This was all conducted inside the Solutions Lab's state-of-the-art training facility.

The day-long session included a technical overview and management platform summary, a "sales play" portion, and an interactive segment wherein attendees were each able to set up an Aruba Instant On system. The agenda delivered all the tools a VAR needs to succeed in selling these solutions to SMB companies, including sales campaign information, marketing material, go-to-market tools, and details on D&H's associated programs.

D&H's renowned Solutions Lab is one of the enhanced amenities that was recently launched at the distributor's new US headquarters in Harrisburg. The "Aruba Instant On - A Day at the Playground" training seminar was the first partner event of 2020 to be hosted at the new Harrisburg campus. Aruba Instant On access points are a family of powerful products featuring simple, quick set-up in a range of indoor and outdoor SMB environments. The units come in ceiling, wall mount, and desktop options, and can be deployed in minutes via a simple and intuitive mobile app.

The "Playground" event also included a competition in which four participants went head-to-head to see who could set-up an Aruba Instant On network most quickly. The winner of this friendly race, Kody Yoder of Landis Technology in Ephrata, PA, was able to configure the WiFi environment in less than 40 seconds. "It's remarkable how easy it is to get a powerful system like the Aruba Instant On product up and functioning," said Yoder. "We appreciated this hands-on opportunity. It helped us gain both the knowledge and the comprehensive tools we need to hit the ground running with this solution among our SMB customers."

"When D&H designed its new location, emphasis was placed on creating spaces and infrastructures that would extend our ability to educate our customer base. The new Solutions Lab will provide more immersive and interactive content to a greater geography of solution providers, and on a more frequent basis," said Greg King, vice president of systems at D&H. "The interactive Playground event was a fine example of how these new trainings can be leveraged, and also helped to promote a new Aruba campaign. The D&H Aruba Team will be integrally involved in helping MSPs and VARs find success with the Instant On access points."

"We were excited to co-host our channel partners along with D&H at the company's new headquarters. The Aruba Instant On 'Playground' event was a unique enablement event that combined information sharing with product unboxing, set-up and technical training. The result was a fully immersive experience," said John Moran, director of the North America SMB Channel Business at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. "D&H's world-class facility provided the intelligent digital resources required to enable this outstanding event. The new headquarters is truly an asset for D&H, their manufacturers and their partner community."

"D&H's Aruba Day at the Playground event shows just how effective hands-on training can be when utilizing the right technology and format," said George Tyson, sales manager at Korporate Computing of Camp Hill, PA. "The seminar delivered a long list of practical product insights, technical instruction, sales strategies, and dynamic tools in a single afternoon."
