For Immediate Release:

D&H LAUNCHES ITS "EASY DAAS IT" DEVICE-AS- A-SERVICE PROGRAM, PROVIDING SIMPLIFIED LIFECYCLE SUPPORT & SERVICES FOR SMB VARs

— This Holistic DaaS Program Provides Favorable Licensing Terms, Including a Scalable "Flex Up/Flex Down" Option, for End-Users' Laptops, Desktops, Workstations, and Tablets —

HARRISBURG, PA - April 9, 2018 - D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces it has launched its new "Easy DaaS IT" Device-as-a-Service program. The program allows resellers to deliver a suite of client devices including notebooks, workstations, desktops, thin-clients and tablets via a multi-year lifecycle agreement in which procurement, deployment, device management, services, and lifecycle management are all handled for a low monthly fee. This vendor-agnostic model is designed to make a volume of devices accessible to SMB companies through a more flexible financing vehicle, allowing VARs to realize revenue upfront while providing a low, fixed monthly rate to their customers.

The Easy DaaS IT program offers both 24- and 36-month terms, which are structured to coincide with the practical lifespan of such devices. For example, after a 36-month timeframe, computing hardware tends to become obsolete by way of battery power, memory, hard drive, and storage performance. At the conclusion of these terms, the end-user will have an option to either return the devices, or upgrade them to maintain an optimally functional environment.

In addition, the program includes a crucial "Flex-up/Flex Down" provision, through which the subscription holder can increase or reduce their fleet (up to 10%) after the first 12 months. Such flexibility is a key benefit for companies whose business is seasonal, creating scalability that is not normally attainable through competing DaaS programs.

A More Affordable, Updated Environment Through Device Subscriptions
A subscription option allows end-users to spread payments for their devices over time, moving this expenditure from a company's capital budget to its monthly operational budget. Such a strategy may make a hardware refresh more economically feasible for SMB customers. And since D&H is committed to providing field-based support and services for the duration of the contract, the end-user gets the benefit of a consistently optimized computing environment, while also reducing the IT workloads of in-house personnel at those companies.

DaaS addresses a frequent barrier for resellers that serve in the SMB community: Small and regional offices sometimes resist upgrading their legacy equipment due to the cost of replacing existing hardware. Yet without the latest hardware, these companies can't always accommodate other cutting-edge features that VARs would like to upsell, such as hosted services, mesh computing, device management, or high-volume cloud-based storage. A subscription program that addresses the lifecycle of a company's devices alleviates this problem, allowing VARs to build upon a more current and functional client environment. In addition, as new SMB companies come to market in the future, many will be led by tech-savvy millennials who have basically been raised in mobile subscription environments. A DaaS offering is a logical evolution to address this demographic.

To familiarize resellers with the program, D&H will conduct an Easy DaaS IT webcast via its online Solutions Lab training venue (www.dandh.com/SolutionsLab) on April 26 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Registration is at no cost to D&H customers. In addition, the distributor has developed a Partner Services Marketing brochure template on the new DaaS program, which can be customized with the VAR's branding and used to help generate market demand (www.dandh.com/PartnerServices).

"Our resellers are always looking for new and effective ways to optimize their end-customers' systems, delivering a network experience that incorporates state-of-the-art hardware, plus innovative and powerful services like cyber security or high-performance WiFi," said Peter DiMarco, vice president of VAR sales at D&H Distributing. "DaaS is a savvy means by which the SMB VAR can realize this kind of an ecosystem for their customers. It offers considerable end-user benefits, creating not only a more affordable payment structure, but a more productive and modern computing environment, with on-demand technical support and logistics provided by D&H's formidable team."

Resellers can email daas@dandh.com to find out how to manage the program, contact their account representatives at (800) 340-1001, or visit www.dandh.com/daas for more information.
