D&H DISTRIBUTING RISES TO #118 ON THE FORBES LIST OF AMERICA'S LARGEST PRIVATE COMPANIES

HARRISBURG, PA - July 28, 2016 - D&H Distributing, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, is proud to announce it has risen to #118 on Forbes magazine's prestigious list of America's Largest Private Companies, surpassing last year's ranking of #128 by 10 full positions. Such an increase is a notable accomplishment considering the relatively static growth of the technology industry.

At $3.5+ billion dollars in revenue, the distributor's ranking surpasses a roster of well-known companies including J Crew, Newegg.com, and many other household names. The list features 223 companies including industry forerunners and iconic American corporations such as Dell, Bloomberg, Levi Strauss & Co, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SC Johnson & Son, and Deloitte.  D&H Distributing is tied for fourth place among companies from Pennsylvania on the list, based on its revenue bracket. In addition, the distributor is one of only 18 of the listed companies that have achieved a ranking with fewer than 1,500 employees. This becomes particularly significant for D&H Distributing's employees, who become vested as co-owners of the company through an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) program established in 1999.

In addition to placement on this list, D&H Distributing has held the number one position on the Central Penn Business Journal's "Top 100 Companies" list since 2010, and is one of the largest employers in its region.

"D&H has remained a private company by design, ensuring that our decision-making is beholden to our customers and manufacturers, as opposed to shareholders. This allows us to be more agile and self-determined in how we conduct business long-term," said Michael Schwab, co-president of D&H Distributing. "We're proud that such a strategy has been prosperous, not just for us, but for our employee co-owners and for the customers we support."

"We're honored to consistently increase our standing on the Forbes list. It validates our commitment to the technology channel, our partners, and the entire D&H team, whose passion and dedicated efforts drive the company's success," said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H Distributing. "As a 98-year-old company, we appreciate what an accomplishment it is to maintain growth in a challenging marketplace.
