— Channel Veteran With Proven Cloud Success Will Continue To Drive and Innovate Upon D&H's Cloud Initiatives through New Investments, Enhanced Resources, and Added Industry Expertise  —

HARRISBURG, PA - February 5, 2019 - D&H Distributing announces it has appointed Jason Bystrak, long-time channel veteran and cloud solutions leader, as its new vice president, cloud business unit. Bystrak brings with him more than two decades of experience in the channel. He most recently served as vice president of worldwide channels & distribution for Axcient, a frontrunner in cloud based data and storage solutions.

Adding a vice president to oversee this newly-created business unit positions D&H to better capitalize on hosted services trends and the digital transformation of the marketplace, as more businesses align themselves with cost-effective and versatile, hybrid cloud infrastructures. Cloud is one of D&H's--and the industry's--most profitable growth opportunities, evidenced by increases in the distributor's cloud applications business of 108% in its 2019 Fiscal Year (latest figures from May to December).

The D&H Cloud Business Unit will focus on cultivating ongoing resources to help resellers grow their cloud services business. Recent cloud initiatives have included the addition of cloud applications broker SaaSMAX to D&H's portfolio, providing SMB VARs access to thousands of vertical market-specific software apps. The distributor also forged agreements to offer Dropbox Business' cloud-based SMB storage platform; and Nimble's hosted CRM solutions. Bystrak will report to Peter DiMarco, D&H's vice president of VAR sales, as part of the VAR team, working extensively with the distributor's marketing, operations, IT, product, and sales teams to execute D&H's cloud strategy for the benefit of solution providers.

Enhancing Cloud Services Through "People, Processes, and Partners"

Bystrak plans to rally around what he refers to as "The Three P's": People, Processes, and Partners. "We're looking to make the right investments in personnel, in optimizing our Cloud Marketplace platform, and in the engagement of our solution provider partners. That will include an emphasis on the internal team, and on our efforts to furnish resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) with effective sales strategies," said Bystrak.

"It also means developing future resources to support our partners and help them easily bring compelling offerings to market," he continued. "The overall objective is to build an integrated cloud solution portfolio, deliver it through an easy-to-use operational platform, and give our MSPs and VARs the tools they need to execute winning sales and marketing campaigns capitalizing on these emerging opportunities."

The Evolution of D&H's "Solutions & Services"

Cloud Solutions and D&H's new Cloud Business Unit are a crucial element of the distributor's Solutions and Services program, launched last year to assemble and deliver end-to-end enablement resources to VARs. This assortment of services and "solution pillars" is designed to support the capabilities of SMB VARs, helping them increase business and enter new markets, including hosted services. Cloud, Device-as-a-Service, hosted collaboration, and digital signage all fall under the auspices of D&H's Solutions and Services effort.

"We're thrilled to welcome Jason Bystrak into the fold at D&H Distributing. His considerable skills and proven business acumen in the areas of cloud and managed services will add a new dynamic to our cloud strategy," said D&H's Peter DiMarco. "We look forward to working together to accelerate the growth of D&H's cloud offering, creating an evolving menu of resources for resellers who want to pursue a profitable hosted services model."

D&H's Cloud Solutions strategy encompasses powerful solutions from industry-leading D&H partners such as Cisco (Umbrella, Webex Teams), Microsoft (Office 365, Azure), Dropbox, Intermedia, BitTitan, and an expanding roster of vendors offered through D&H's Cloud Marketplace self-service portal.
