An Introduction to the New D&H Cloud Marketplace [1:12:15]

What info is available to my customers when I share this cloud portal with them from my website? Can they come in and manage their own cloud services/subscriptions by company and by user? Or is this only for me to manage?
You can choose to give your customer access to a customer-facing frontend to this portal. By default, when a new company is created, an admin account is also created. This admin login can be provided to your customer which would give them administrative rights over their company and domain. This would give them access to everything from running reports to placing their own orders for services. However, you may not wish to give your customer that level of access. In which case, you can create separate user accounts within the system and give them lesser permissions while retaining the admin rights for yourself.

Are companies within the hierarchy below my name my clients? (This was unclear to me in the demo)
Correct.

Because there are limited items listed in the sandbox, can you elaborate on what vendors are available to us now? What does the D&H roadmap look like for onboarding new cloud vendors?
Right now it is only Microsoft, DropSuite, Nimble, and BitTitan with Dropbox, ESET, Webroot and Skykick coming shortly. More vendors are getting onboarded all the time.

What do the lock icons mean on the services when you're adding to your marketplace?
That simply means that service is covered by Price Protection. Indicators such as these share with you the information they're trying to convey by mousing over the icon.

Do you recommend we fill in ALL information on our clients within this portal? What is the benefit of having all this very detailed information within this portal?
That non-required information is merely there for your own records and tracking. However, we do recommend you filling out as much information as you have since this platform will continue to grow and develop and therefore the more information you have recorded for your client base the better.

Do suggested services go beyond Microsoft if you're provisioning Microsoft services? Does it suggest security or migration or additional productivity services? Or is it only based on the vendor - in this case, Microsoft?
These services are based on your purchase history so this feature will only improve over time.

How do I add hardware or my own professional/managed services within this portal? It's mentioned in the webcasts description and cloud page that we can do this.
This feature is coming soon - not live at this time. We will follow up with instructions.

What is the URL to get into the new Cloud Marketplace?

Can you create bundles of products that are within a marketplace? For example, take Office 365 Business Premium, bundle a service and add 3rd party continuity product, allow it to auto-configure the ones you offer and either send an email or notification to configure the other services.
Yes with some training and proper configuration the platform can do this. Some restrictions may apply. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for more information

Why do we need to use the marketplace and how do we integrate this with our website?
The marketplace is your portal to order cloud services thru D&H as well as offer your customers an optional portal to purchase their cloud services thru your organization. At this time, there is no plan for integration with other sites.

Will all of our customers that are in the old system be pulled into the new system, or do we have to add them manually?
They will all be pulled over to the new system without any action needed on your part.

Do we have the ability in the new portal to setup a marketplace for Home Users to purchase Home Products like Microsoft Office 365 Home or Personal?
You do have the ability to customize your marketplace(s) so you offer only what you want to who you want however Home products are not sold through the Microsoft CSP program.

Do you have Office 365 Education available in the D&H Cloud Marketplace?
Yes they are with special authorization from Microsoft. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for more information.

Would we be able to transition a customer Azure trial into this?
Not Azure trial since that has to be direct through Microsoft, however we are being told we should have options such as trial accounts in the future.

Are you migrating my accounts and services to the new D&H Cloud Marketplace or do we have to do it manually?
They are being migrated for you - no actions on your part needed.

Can you create separate marketplaces for only non-profit or government licensing?
Yes you sure can!

Do current clients have to start over for a year comment or take over from where they currently are?
Subscription periods will not be restarted

Is billing available per customer?
Yes, comprehensive per customer reporting is available at any time.

Once a new Microsoft tenant is created, how do you get the admin password to manage the account?
The admin user name and temporary password are listed in the general tenant information within the platform. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for assistance.

When we add a service and the provisioning errors out, it says our monitoring team is working on it. In the old portal it gave more troubleshooting information, so do I need to reach out to D&H? How long will it take for them to fix and reach out to me?
All delay's and failures are monitored and notifications are sent to the proper teams. No need to reach out. You will be contacted if a fix requires more data or your intervention.

Will new licenses still show up right away in the Microsoft portal when you add them?
Yes, as soon as you provision a Microsoft cloud service, it will appear in the associated Microsoft portal.

Do we remove licenses the same way we did before?
No, this time is it much easier and intuitive. No "change order" function is needed in this new platform. Simply navigate to the proper account and product and adjust the seat count up or down as needed.

How does this integrate with the Office 365 tenant? What info syncs between the two?
Licensing information only

How easy is it to implement or add to our company website?
You can easily link to it from your company website but it is not designed to be integrated. Custom branding and URL can make the site personal and reflect your organization.

If a subscription has expired, would it not transfer over?
Correct, only active subscription were migated

If provisioning fails, how do we fix the issue and resubmit for provisioning?

Will Cisco Meraki be available through the D&H Cloud Marketplace?
We're discussing that possibility with Cisco but have no ETA at this time.

Is there any integration planned for CRM software like ConnectWise or Tigerpaw? Another product called Pax8 integrates billing between the two systems.
Yes, at this time, the platform will integrate with both Connectwise and Autotask reconciling invoices. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for more information on how.

I think the other user's question was in reference to: can the marketplace be branded with logo, colors, etc, and does it support a public DNS record redirect? So the original URL can be masked?
Yes, customizable theme colors, logo, and custom URL masking are available.

Can you discuss Professional Services Automation (PSA) integration?
The platform will integrate with both Connectwise and Autotask reconciling invoices. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for more information on how.

Would there be a price difference to me when I use services from a vendor through the D&H Cloud Marketplace compared to using the services directly from the vendor?
Absolutely. Just like any other product purchased through distribution, these services are at a marked discount.

Are Windows 10 versions offered in the D&H Cloud Marketplace? And is Google Chrome OS for Education there as well?
Only Windows Enterprise is available through Microsoft CSP at this time and there has been discussion around Google however it's far to early to give a definitive answer on that.

Do we have the option to select what the new admin user account is vs the default one of admin@tenant.onmicrosoft.com? For example, anything other than admin@?
No, this admin tenant name is important since it is the "account name" used in Microsoft's systems. You can add a custom domain if you own it by copying DNS records. Contact cloudsolutions@dandh.com for more information.

How long will we have access to the previous Cloud portal for our reference?
The old platform is officially shutdown at the time of this video.
