Can the ASUS Chromebit only be used for digital signage?
No, it has the same Chrome OS as a Chromebook, Chromebox etc. and could function as a full desktop when paired with a Keyboard/monitor/mouse

Is there a list of Google Cloud Print-enabled printers on dandh.com?
You can sort by "Wireless Print Technology" or "Google Cloud Print" when searching for printers on dandh.com to find available Google Cloud Print-enabled printers. Here is Google's full list of cloud ready printers

Does Google have a reseller support hotline?
They have 24/7 support for Admin console customers and would allow a reseller to call in on a customer's behalf for support if they have Admin access. Here are the steps:
To reach Google for Work Support by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, please call 1-877-355-5787 (North America) or 1-404-978-9282 (global). You will need to provide the unique customer PIN located in your Admin console under "Support". If you do not already have access to the Admin console, the login credentials will be sent to your domain administrator in a separate email.

Are Google Cloud Print-enabled printers the only printers that work with Chromebooks?
No, there are several ways to setup legacy printers to support Google Cloud Print with an existing windows machine acting as the remote. It's even supported on Windows print servers. Details here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/3179170?hl=en

When updating multiple devices, is there a way to locally cache the update so that it does not need to reach out to the Internet on each device?
Since version 40, each Chrome device has the ability to natively send OS updates to each other via P2P, details here: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/3168106?hl=en
If you are working with mass updates Chromebooks below version 40, you can also cache and create manual updates via USB using Chromebook Recovery Utility

How easy is the authorization process to sell Chromebooks and the Google Chrome Management Consoles?
Most Chromebooks are available for purchase with little or no authorization needed. As for the management licensing itself, we have the form attached to this webcast for you to fill out and send to LicenseDesk@dandh.com, from there you will be required to take several online training modules, but the process is very straightforward

Is the license cost for Education free?
Google Apps for Education is yes, for the device licensing itself no. that is $30 MSRP for a perpetual license and it allows each unit to be locked down and managed via the management console.

K-12 is only offered in perpetual licensing for the Google Management Console, correct?
Correct

What is part number for the Google Chrome Management license for Education? Does the Academic license include 2 years and 100GB?
CROSSWDISEDU is the $30 license mentioned earlier for the device, however Google apps for education is free and includes Drive for education, which is unlimited storage for the student as long as he/she is using an academic account on the schools' domain.

Is the Sign Builder app just a content scheduler or can it be used for content creation as well?
Just a scheduler

Is there a way to allow users select permissions to change signs?
Yes, an admin could assign those rights to any user within the admin console

Can we sell Google Apps for Work subscriptions to our SMB customers or do they have to pay Google directly?
You can become an authorized Google for Work partner and sell your customers Apps for Work. Details here: https://www.google.com/work/partners/

Is there an NFR or demo unit available for the ASUS Chromebit?
Not that we are aware of at this time, but with a retail of $84.99 the investment is minimal

Can you integrate a Chromebit with an existing Windows Network?
Answer.Yes

How does one decide which Chromebook one needs? I see they range in price $160-$500.
It depends on the use case. A Chromebook that is primarily going to be used in a kiosk type fashion with a single app or minimal use could easily be done by any model. However multitasking power users who run dozens of tabs may be better suited for models with a minimum of 4GB memory and an Intel processor.

Is the ASUS Chromebit compatible with a multimedia TV with USB ports?
Yes but it couldn't be powered by the USB ports. it ships with a small AC power adaptor and would still need discrete power to function

Content creation and management has always been the barrier to entry for digital signage. Can you send out a list of links after the webcast for suggestions on content creation software and links to previous Solutions Labs webcasts you have done on this?
While we haven't had any webcasts specifically on content creation, Google has some great entry level solutions for signage creation like Slides. The point we want to convey with management via the admin console is that signage can be updated, maintained and monitored very easily and very affordably. Regarding Windows integration... Will ASUS Chromebit communicate with a Windows® Network? Can you share files, etc.? Can you have an ASUS Chromebit print to a printer shared on a Windows® Network? Not and AD, just a standard Windows® home network or shared network?
Thanks for clarifying, in that case no, not entirely. File sharing locally would not work in the same fashion entirely, but it is possible on Chrome OS with the use of apps like File System for Windows. As for printing, while traditional network printing wouldn't be supported. The ability to enable cloud printing on the traditional network is very possible (more details in our previous question on Google Cloud Print)
